Traditional thinking: Are you a victim?

What does this quote mean to you? 

Traditional thought. Absolute truth.

Traditional thinking has always been known for "playing things safely". Or to stay within your boundaries, to do things in accordance of a common way.What did kanye mean by, sparking a generation of thinkers to question traditional thinking? 

If most people are comfortable with traditions, why question it? Why question anything that has been done so many times before? Why CHANGE things?

A traditional subject can be flexible as long as no alternatives are voiced. To question traditional thought, would mean to think and to act against all odds. To do the unimaginable, the unthinkable, the crazy, the different, the weird and insane. To do what most would fear against to find the absolute truth.

A truth that can not be altered. A permanent fact. So WHAT was Kanye talking about when he said, "absolute truth"? The undeniable truth about what? Music? Fashion? The government? What does Kanye want us to know? The majority of the time the "absolute truth" that is to be sought out, is for religious purposes. Is there a God? Did jesus truly exist?

Did he really walk the earth, the same as us? Is there really a Heaven and Hell? What is this absolute truth, Kanye wanted us to seek out? Or is it less complex? How about if I told you that the quote above is only a part of something much bigger? An email ALLEGEDLY sent to Blogger Perez Hilton from Kanye, himself:

"I'VE BEEN ATTACKED FOR BEING ME... FOR BEING BRIGHT RED IN A GREY WORLD.THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO THRIVES ON THE DOWNFALL OF OTHERS FOR I WILL NOT FALL!!! YOUR PESSIMISM IS MY POWER. YOUR PRESUMPTIONS LEADS TO MY REDEMPTIONS. I DON'T LIKE THE OBVIOUS... I LIKE THE TENSION... I LIVE FOR THE FIGHT... I FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY DON'T THINK FOR THEMSELVES BUT MERELY BASE THEIR OPINIONS ON WHAT THEY WERE TAUGHT.I AM A SOLDIER OF FREE THOUGHT IN A CLOSED MINDED WORLD AND I AM READY FOR WAR.I WILL SPARK A GENERATION OF THINKERS WHO WILL QUESTION TRADITIONAL THOUGHT UNTIL THEY FIND THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH."

So, apparently the above quote isn't about anything really complex or hard to understand. It's about kanye, himself. But does that make it less true? Kanye West has always been labeled as, "different", an "Lyrical Genius" even. But again, it brings me to two questions:

1. What does this quote mean to you?

2. What is this absolute truth, Kanye want us to seek out? Are you a soldier of free thought as well? Or someone who merely base their opinion on what they were taught?
